Fatty liver, now often described as MASLD, is not a problem to solve with a cleansing drink. Food habits can support clinical management, but liver-fat improvement and repair of advanced scarring are different claims.

What the research found

DIRECT PLUS assigned 294 people to dietary approaches with physical activity. A green-Mediterranean pattern, lower in red and processed meat and including specific plant foods, produced greater liver-fat reductions on imaging than comparison approaches. It was not entirely vegan. Weight loss, activity and multiple dietary changes were involved, and a researcher declared an advisory connection to a food-product company.

The trial included walnuts, green tea and a particular aquatic-plant preparation. It does not show that one ingredient caused the result or that an expensive supplement reproduces the programme. Imaging outcomes are useful but do not establish that every patient avoids cirrhosis or other future complications.

Use the accessible principles

Discuss a balanced plan featuring suitable pulses, vegetables and other whole foods, with attention to saturated fat and sugary drinks. You do not need to buy a rare plant to begin. Activity, alcohol advice and any weight-management goal should be appropriate to your medical situation, not copied from a headline.

  • Keep liver follow-up.
  • Avoid detox promises.
  • Make gradual, sustainable changes.

A salon body composition scan cannot diagnose liver disease or measure liver fat like the trial's imaging. Zhen can support food routines, while your medical team assesses liver health and treatment.
