All treatments, Isle of Man
Shockwave therapy, sports massage, EMS, body composition, light and oxygen therapies at Zhen Wellness on the Isle of Man. What each treatment is, what it does, and who it is for.
Explore the Red Room and planned Foot Station
Understand the benefits, suitability and evidence before choosing support. The Red Room in Onchan uses red and near-infrared LEDs, not UV tanning or sauna heat. The planned CURREX Foot Station brings footwear and gait information into a wider assessment; availability is to be confirmed.
Not sure which service is appropriate? Start with your main concern. Persistent unexplained burning or numbness needs medical assessment rather than a footwear or light-treatment booking.
Zhen Wellness, the Isle of Man's clinical longevity practice, offers treatments across five longevity programmes led by Isabella Hawke. Every treatment on this page has a specific mechanism and application, selected around assessment findings and individual goals.
All longevity programme treatments are available as part of a structured six or eight-session block at £695. A Longevity MOT with Isabella is the recommended starting point for anyone unsure which treatments are indicated for their situation.
Pain and restoration programme →
High-energy acoustic wave treatment
- What it is
- Focused mechanical energy delivered in pulses to chronic pain sites.
- What it does
- Stimulates tissue repair, disrupts calcified deposits and breaks the pain cycle at source. Addresses the tissue directly rather than managing the sensation.
- Who it is for
- Adults with persistent back, hip, knee or tendon pain that has not resolved with physiotherapy, rest or anti-inflammatory medication.
Hands-on soft tissue therapy
- What it is
- Deep sports therapy massage targeting the muscles, fascia and trigger points around chronic pain sites.
- What it does
- Reduces compensatory loading on surrounding structures, restores normal movement mechanics, and supports the biological conditions for recovery between sessions.
- Who it is for
- Adults with chronic musculoskeletal pain and restricted movement patterns built up over months or years.
Photobiomodulation therapy
- What it is
- Red and near-infrared light applied directly to affected tissue.
- What it does
- Reduces local inflammation, stimulates cellular repair and sustains the healing conditions between sessions. The effect is cumulative and works alongside other treatments rather than in isolation.
- Who it is for
- Adults in a pain or restoration programme as a complement to acoustic wave and soft tissue work.
Muscle and strength programme →
The Longevity Gym
- What it is
- A supervised training space built around ageing well, rehabilitation, mobility, stamina and functional strength.
- What it does
- Builds the physical capacity needed for daily life through a personalised programme, with supervised or self directed sessions and regular review points.
- Who it is for
- Adults returning from injury or pain, protecting muscle during weight loss, rebuilding confidence with movement, or wanting to stay independent as they age.
Electrical muscle stimulation
- What it is
- Bio-electrical impulses that simultaneously contract multiple muscle groups at intensities voluntary exercise cannot reliably reach.
- What it does
- Produces the neuromuscular stimulus of intensive resistance training without the joint loading. Reaches deep muscle fibres, specifically the last to be recruited and the first to atrophy, that conventional training cannot reliably access.
- Who it is for
- People seeking support with muscle mass and functional strength, particularly where joint pain, injury or reduced capacity makes conventional training difficult. Suitability is assessed individually.
Personalised movement programming
- What it is
- A structured fitness and movement plan built around your current capacity and the muscle groups identified as deficient at assessment.
- What it does
- Progressively loads the muscles and builds functional strength patterns that transfer into the movements that matter in everyday life. Evolves across the programme.
- Who it is for
- Any adult in the Muscle and Strength programme who wants a clinical framework for training outside of sessions.
Metabolic health programme →
Cavitation therapy
- What it is
- Focused ultrasound energy delivered to targeted adipose tissue.
- What it does
- Disrupts and emulsifies fat cells in specific areas. The fat is metabolised and eliminated through the body's natural pathways. Works mechanically rather than metabolically, which is why it reaches tissue that lifestyle change cannot.
- Who it is for
- Adults with localised fat deposits that have not responded to diet and exercise intervention over an extended period.
Cryolipolysis
- What it is
- Precisely controlled cooling applied to targeted fat deposits.
- What it does
- Triggers selective cell death in adipose tissue while leaving surrounding structures unaffected. Fat cells eliminated through this process do not return.
- Who it is for
- Adults with areas of persistent fat accumulation that have proved resistant to lifestyle intervention.
Radiofrequency tissue remodelling
- What it is
- Thermal energy delivered to the deep dermis and subcutaneous layer.
- What it does
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production, accelerates fat cell metabolism, and improves overall tissue quality and skin integrity.
- Who it is for
- Adults whose body composition changes have resulted in skin laxity or loss of structural integrity, particularly following fat loss or hormonal change.
Nutrition support
- What it is
- Evidence-based nutrition guidance developed around your specific hormonal and metabolic profile.
- What it does
- Addresses the dietary patterns that support or actively undermine clinical interventions, and helps sustain results beyond the programme period. Specific to your biology, not a generic template.
- Who it is for
- Any adult in the Metabolic Health programme as the dietary framework that makes the clinical treatments productive.
Mobility and injury programme →
Sports therapy massage
- What it is
- Deep, clinically informed soft tissue work targeting the specific muscles, tendons and fascia under load from your activity.
- What it does
- Reduces chronic tension, improves tissue extensibility and supports faster recovery between training sessions. Applied with a specific mechanical purpose, not a general one.
- Who it is for
- Active adults whose recovery time is lengthening, whose injuries are persisting longer than expected, and whose tissue is no longer responding the way it used to.
Mobility and movement programming
- What it is
- A personalised plan built around your activity, your structural restrictions, and the movement patterns that matter for what you do.
- What it does
- Addresses the mechanical limitations that raise injury risk and lengthen recovery time. Adapted to the body you have rather than a generic movement template.
- Who it is for
- Active adults in their forties, fifties and sixties who want clinical support to keep doing what they do without accumulating structural damage.
Biological ageing programme →
Oxygen and cellular energy therapy
- What it is
- Concentrated oxygen delivered to tissues at a level that supports cellular energy production.
- What it does
- Addresses the mitochondrial decline that underpins visible and functional signs of accelerated ageing. Supports skin regeneration, reduces systemic fatigue, and enhances the body's capacity for tissue recovery.
- Who it is for
- Adults experiencing accelerated biological ageing, systemic fatigue, poor skin regeneration or the external signs of declining cellular function.
Photobiomodulation therapy
- What it is
- Red and near-infrared light applied to the face and body.
- What it does
- Stimulates collagen production, reduces dermal inflammation, and activates the cellular repair mechanisms that maintain skin structure and quality. Works systemically as well as locally by supporting mitochondrial function in treated tissue.
- Who it is for
- Adults in the Biological Ageing programme, and those looking to address the skin-level signs of internal cellular change.
Not sure which treatment is right for you?
A Longevity MOT takes sixty minutes and establishes exactly what your body needs clinically. It costs £97 as a standalone assessment and is not redeemable against any service or programme. It is the clearest route into the practice and the most reliable way to know which of these treatments is indicated for your specific situation.
We take a limited number of new clients each month.
